The law is a schoolmaster to bring us
to Christ (Gal. 3:24).
A Christian should carefully ask himself these questions:
-
Do I put anything
before God in my life?
-
Do I make and
idol of anything?
-
Do I use bad
language?
-
Do I honor my
parents?
-
Do I keep God's
Day Holy?
-
Do I get angry?
-
Am I impure?
-
Do I defile my
body in any way?
-
Am I practicing
actions specifically forbidden in the Bible?
-
Do I take things
that do not belong to me?
-
Am I covetous?
-
Do I lie?
-
Do I have the
proper Love for God and All men?
-
Do I use
substances that are harmful to my body?
If I do any
of these things, then the law of God tells me I am a sinner under
the penalty of death for having broken God's law, and I must turn to
Jesus, who is the only one that can save me.
